I am a motivational speaker, content creator, youth development specialist, and library professional with a passion for teaching the principles of creating a positive life-changing impact in their lives and others. For eight years, I worked as a youth development professional in one of the largest library systems in the United States, serving youth representing over 25+ countries worldwide.
Each day, my staff and I created an academic setting that promotes positive relationships, civic engagement, and post-grad success. As a result, I led 100+ youth toward academic and personal success with programs that develop positive self-esteem and self-worth each day. In the eight years under my leadership, this program has had a 100% high school graduation rate, with over 95% of the youth going onto institutes of higher education. One of my most significant accomplishments within the library organization was creating #well-connected, a community interface that bridged the communication, health and wellness, and literacy gaps between young adult customers and library staff during the coronavirus pandemic.
I am great at what I do, creating connections amongst diverse populations by teaching the principles of these three development stages: groups, family, and community. My goal is to help libraries create an environment that positively impacts the lives of youth and branch staff. I can teach you each of these steps and how to implement them in your library setting.
